TalkingtoNikki

The lovely Nikki Magennis, who lives in the wilds of Scotland, asked me some time ago to answer a few interview questions for her author series Writing That Touches.  As I’ve mentioned more than once, I’m really not a very good interviewee, but I couldn’t possibly say no to Nikki.  In the first place, she’s a fabulous writer.  In the second place, she loves animals, too! (She was worried about her mice she was leaving behind when she moved recently.) Oh, and Nikiki’s new home in the country inspires me to want to visit Scotland.  Ohh… Scotland!  Plus, she’s just a really cool, very sweet person.

So, anyway, I tried to provide some good not stupid answers to her thoughtful questions and she e-mailed me this morning to let me know my interview has been posted on her blog (along with my current “promotional” photo-- if I look so very, very tired it’s because I was!).  If you’re interested in knowing what inspires me and why I write, please go here to read the entire interview.  A few fabulous people have already left comments (thanks, Emerald, Janine and Jeremy!) and I’ll stop back by tomorrow to say hello to anyone I’ve missed.

If you don’t already follow Nikki, do be sure to read about her mountain climbing experience (oh my!) and admire her beautiful new kitty Petra.  Oh, and Nikki’s new Black Lace novel, The New Rakes, is out now!  I’ll be picking up my copy this weekend.

Thanks so much, Nikki!

Yo, Kristina, you just earned yourself a whole cake of your choosing!

Thanks for your kind words. Petra is snort-laughing behind me (she says I’m not sweet because I didn’t give her any roast beef today), but I very much appreciate them!

So, when are you coming round? I have a very nice bottle of single malt in the cupboard ...

x

Hi, Kristina!  Thanks for pointing us to Nikki’s interview--I definitely enjoyed it!  And as I mentioned there, I loved your story in Bedding Down--I’ll definitely be tracking down your other titles, which looks like will take me a while wink

Hey Kristina!  I just got back from being out of town for the weekend without my computer (I literally commented on your Writing That Touches interview right before I took off), and I wanted to come by here and say thanks for agreeing to be interviewed by the lovely Nikki.  I enjoyed reading it!

You live three hours from DC??  I didn’t know that...I live right outside it!  Three hours which direction?

Best to you,
Emerald smile
